ATandT and Sprint long distance subcribers might want to keep some New Year's Eve champagne on ice to help deal with the pain of higher long distance bills in 2005. Effective January 1, 2005, both companies will be charging new, or increasing the existing, monthly recurring charges on a number of plans.
Sprint will be raising substantially the monthly recurring charge on its Complete Sense bundled local and long distance plans for subcribers in California, Ohio, and Michigan effective January 4, 5, and 6, respectively. California Complete Sense subscribers will see their monthly recurring charge increase by $8.30; in Michigan by $4.15; and in Ohio by $3.45.
